About the Dataset

This dataset comprises monthly maize price records across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, covering the period from January 2017 to May 2026. The data were sourced from the Food Price Monitoring and Analysis (FPMA) system and include zonal maize prices, the national average maize price, and the Food Consumer Price Index (Food CPI).

This dataset provides historical monthly maize price information for Nigeria, enabling the analysis of regional price variations, market trends, seasonal fluctuations, food inflation, and agricultural commodity markets.
